Such a lovely and unique restaurant! The service was wonderful and we tried a bunch of small plates. The bread with seaweed butter and the buckwheat pancake with smoke fish are not to be missed! We also loved the scallop with white asparagus and a dish with raw fish, peas and horseradish (I can't remember the fish). I really enjoyed the unique seafood preparations and flavor combinations. The dessert program is also very different. I love celery so had to get the celery float which was really fun. The apple cider donut was also a surprise, it had maybe citric acid in the sugar dusting? Every bite was a little sweet and a little tart, delicious. My only complaint was that the space is quite loud

Smithereens has good vibes and good food with a small menu that focuses on seafood As most of the reviews share, the lobster roll and the buckwheat pancake are definitely worth trying. The desserts were also unique and satisfying at the end of the meal. Everything was delicious but nothing was so good that it was memorable. Nonetheless, a great spot to grab a few bites and a couple drinks

Such fun and unexpected food. We had only 3 dishes: fish head terrine, lentils with eel and whole mackerel. Great preparation and seasoning. Didn’t go for any of the limited dessert offerings. Space is rather dull. Staff and server were delightful. Recommend thus restaurant for adventurous pescatarians

You can’t really tell by the photos, but the flavors are so exciting! Their dessert blew my mind, we had Mille-feuille type of dessert but with candied seaweed instead of pastry and black sesame cream. I was amazed how well these flavors go together.

Very fresh seafood and great combination of flavours. Not easy to get sword fish right but they did good. Another highlight was the fried whiting. Totally deboned but left whole, lightly fried in a crispy tempura coat with a flaky flesh to fork, so good. The desserts are not to be missed. The celery ice cream float just felt like eating a soda drink and it just blew my mind. On another hand, the blueberry donut is warm and fluffy with a side of corn ice cream, got us on cloud 9. The whole atmosphere has a minimalist speakeasy vibe with good playlist. Even tho its low ceiling yet its easy to have a conversation and the room is not loud like most.

Okay amazing experience here. Me and my best girl friend came here on our weekly dinner night out. Found this place through the Infatuation app. All plates are shareable sizes yet small, so don’t expect to walk away stuffed— in the best way. Everything was light, super fresh, different and delicious. The flavor combinations of each plate packed a punch. We also asked for a wine connoisseur who recommended a fabulous bottle of goth red wine from Germany. We were so happy with our experience. It’s definitely a date night vibe.
